Naïm is the Chief Executive Officer of Candriam, a European multi-specialist asset manager and a recognized leader in sustainable investing. He is also the Chairman of New York Life Investment Management International, in charge of developing the company’s activities outside the U.S and serves on the Management Committee of New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM).

Naïm was named the CEO of Dexia Asset Management, Candriam’s predecessor company, in 2007. During his tenure as CEO, he has strengthened the company’s position as a leader and pioneer in sustainable investing and as a key player on the European asset management scene. In 2014, he steered the company’s acquisition by New York Life and its rebranding to Candriam. Since then, Candriam has become one of the fastest-growing asset managers in Europe, doubling its assets under management through product diversification, geographic expansion across Europe, Asia, the U.S., and external growth. His career spans over 30 years of experience in the asset management industry, during which he has held various investment leadership roles, from Alternative fund manager at Credit Agricole, UBS Asset Management and others to Chief Investment Officer of Dexia Asset Management, Candriam’s predecessor company. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1990. 

In June 2021, Naïm was elected President of the European Fund and Asset Management Association (EFAMA) which is the voice of the EUR 27tn European investment management industry.

Naïm is a graduate of the Institute of Political Studies in Paris and earned a master’s degree in Economics and Finance from Université Paris II - Pantheon.

Alain Karaoglan is Senior Vice President and head of the company’s Strategic Businesses, which include New York Life Group Benefit Solutions, Group Membership Association Division, Institutional Annuities, Institutional Life, New York Life Direct,  New York Life Investment Management, and Seguros Monterrey New York Life. Mr. Karaoglan joined New York Life in 2019 and was appointed to the Executive Management Committee in March 2020.

Prior to joining New York Life, he served as Chief Operating Officer for Voya Financial from 2012 to 2018, where he was a member of Voya’s Executive Committee and oversaw all of Voya’s businesses, including Annuities, Employee Benefits, Individual Life, Investment Management, and Retirement. Before joining Voya, he was the head of Divestitures at American International Group, where he helped restructure the company after the 2008 financial crisis.

Previously, Mr. Karaoglan held senior roles in the investment banking and insurance industries, including at Banc of America, Deutsche Bank, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette, First Boston Corporation, and Bear Stearns.

Mr. Karaoglan has an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College, and a Bachelor of Arts in economics and Bachelor of Science in business administration, magna cum laude, from Pepperdine University.

Kirk is the Chief Operating Officer of New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM), and President of the MainStay Funds and IndexIQ ETFs. Kirk is responsible for co-managing NYLIM’s U.S. retail businesses and overseeing day-to-day operations for product, marketing, fund administration and accounting, and technology. He has held numerous leadership roles at NYLIM, including leading strategy, mergers and acquisitions and global product development. 

Kirk joined the firm in 2006. Previously, he was with GivingCapital, Inc., where he managed donor-advised fund products and client relationships for the financial services market. He began his career in sales and marketing roles with Unisys Corp. and Beenz.com, Inc.

Kirk earned a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania.

Anthony is Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer of New York Life Insurance Company. He is also responsible for the teams which principally manage New York Life's general account portfolio that include Fixed Income Investors, Private Capital Investors and Real Estate Investors. He is a member of New York Life’s Executive Management Committee and serves on its Risk Steering Committee.

Anthony joined the firm in 1999. He has held various positions of increasing responsibilities at the firm, including Senior Managing Director and Head of Fixed Income. He also served as Managing Director and Head of Fixed Leveraged Finance. Previously, he achieved positions of increasing responsibility in lending, risk management, and debt capital markets with J.P. Morgan, Toronto-Dominion, and First Chicago.

Jac is the Head of U.S. Distribution at New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM). He is responsible for co-managing NYLIM's US retail business and leading its sales and global relationship management teams across all channels in the US that partner with the largest wealth management firms and their advisors across America. 

Jac joined the firm in 2018 in his current role. Previously, he was Head of Distribution for Hartford Funds. He also held roles at Eaton Vance as Head of U.S. Retail and Offshore Distribution and at MFS Fund Distributors, where he worked for 16 years. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1993.

Karen is the Chief Administrative Officer for New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM). In this role, Karen runs sustainability efforts in the U.S., NYLIM’s global training and education efforts, and the Office of the CEO.

Karen joined New York Life Insurance Company (New York Life) in 2006. Within New York Life, Karen has served as the Chief of Staff to the Chief Human Resources Officer, where she built and ran a change management practice for transformation efforts in technology and finance, and she spent time as a talent lead, responsible for a team of individuals conducting internal organization development consulting and talent management support to all areas of the company. 

Karen began her career in training and development roles at Mercer and Putnam Investments. 

Karen earned a B.S. from Babson College and an M.B.A from Bentley University.

Jeffrey is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of MacKay Shields and is responsible for setting the firm’s strategy and leading the organization as it implements its goals across fixed income and equity strategies.  He also serves as Vice Chairman of New York Life Investment Management International.

Jeffrey joined MacKay Shields in 2011 and leads the Senior Leadership Team. Previously, he was an Executive Vice President and Chief Investment Officer for AllianceBernstein, LP. He served as a member of AllianceBernstein’s Executive Committee, which was responsible for management, key strategic initiatives and resource allocation of the firm. He led the formation of a Special Situations business unit to address the evolving needs of clients seeking specialty investment services. Prior to that, he was Co-Head and Chief Investment Officer of AllianceBernstein’s Fixed Income division overseeing $200 billion of assets under management — responsibilities included portfolio and research oversight, business development, thought leadership, technology and business planning.  He joined AllianceBernstein from Equitable Capital in 1992 when two investment managers were merged together by Axa Group. While at Equitable Capital, he served as a Fixed Income Trader and Portfolio Manager for insurance company portfolios and offshore investment trusts. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1987.

Jeffrey earned a B.B.A. from Hofstra University and an M.B.A. from Adelphi University.

Jae Yoon is the Chief Investment Officer (CIO) of New York Life Investment Management (NYLIM) and Chairman of NYL Investments Asia. He serves as the Chair of the Investment Governance Committee, responsible for the oversight of the investment performance of the strategies managed by NYLIM’s boutiques and affiliate portfolio teams. As Chairman of NYL Investments Asia, Mr. Yoon is responsible for developing and driving our business strategy in Asia.

Additionally, Mr. Yoon leads the Multi-Asset Solutions (MAS) team which oversees the portfolio management of MainStay and third-party multi asset strategies, asset allocation services and economic analysis for New York Life.

Prior to joining NYLIM, Mr. Yoon was Head of Quantitative Research, Analytics, and Risk Management globally at Western Asset Management. Previously, he was with Merrill Lynch Investment Managers where he served as the Head of Risk and Performance for the Pacific and European Regions in Tokyo and London, respectively. Mr. Yoon also worked at JP Morgan Securities in Asia as regional head of Risk Management Control for Fixed Income and Equity Derivative Trading. 

Mr. Yoon earned a BS in Electrical Engineering and a Masters in Operations Research at Cornell University.

Colleen joined the firm in 2009. Previously, she was at Société Générale for 9 years primarily working in the bank’s debt private placement group with responsibilities for originating, structuring, and distributing traditional private placement financings. She has over 20 years of experience in the private placement market.

Noriko joined the firm in 2016. Previously, she served as Managing Partner at Tanden Research Institute where she led consulting services for the U.S.-based asset management companies for its Asian business development. She also worked at Mariner Capital Investments leading the marketing and business development initiatives in the Asian/Pacific region for Mariner Group products and Head of Asian Marketing team for Rock Maple Funds. Ian is the Co-Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer of Tristan Capital Partners. He has a strong track record in global securities investment management, investment banking, and investment research.

Ian joined the firm in 2009. Previously, he was co-head of Morgan Stanley's European Equity and Fixed Income Research Division, a pan-European division with 265 staff, covering over 1000 securities across 30 sectors, and servicing hundreds of institutional clients across the world. He was also a strategist with Morgan Stanley in New York. He began his career as an investment manager at Baillie Gifford, one of the UK's leading independent investment management partnerships.

Chong Soo is the Head of New York Life Investments’ client relationship office in South Korea. With his deep knowledge of the Korean asset management market, he supports the Korean presence of New York Life Investments’ boutiques. 

Chong Soo joined the firm in 2013. Previously, he was Head of Institutional Sales and later Head of Global Client Group at Deutsche Asset Management Korea where he was responsible for increasing the company’s presence in Korea and marketing strategy, for about 10 years. He also worked at Hyundai Investment Trust and Securities and Hyundai Investment Trust Management Company in New York. He has worked in the financial services industry since 1988.

Paul is the Executive Chairman, Chief Investment Officer and Head of Equities at Ausbil Investment Management. He is responsible for portfolio construction, strategy and management of the Equities team and instrumental in growing Ausbil's assets under management. Ross joined the firm in 2015. Previously, he co-founded Five Oceans Asset Management, an international funds management business. He was formerly CEO of Deutsche Asset Management in Australia and Head of Deutsche Asset Management’s U.S. Mutual Fund business. He also held management roles at Bankers Trust in New York and Sydney.
