I believe in the power of what we can do together.

Hello, my name is Andrew Masterson, your Advisor Consultant at New York Life Investments. I grew up in Westchester, New York and currently live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan with my girlfriend, Rebecca. I recently completed my MBA at NYU Stern.

With over a decade of experience at New York Life Investments, I’ve had the privilege of covering territories nationwide. In recent years, I have focused on the South Central region, spending the majority of my time traveling the area. The people, places and perspectives I encounter in this role are what I enjoy most about my job.

In my spare time, I love to take a step back and enjoy the little things in life. Whether it's trying a new recipe, completing a challenging workout or just spending time outside, these activities bring me the most joy. Combining these activities with time spent with my family makes for the perfect weekend. I’m an avid sports fan, especially the New York teams I root for. I also love to golf on weekends with my friends. When I get home, I’m happily greeted by our two Rhodesian Ridgebacks, Zulu and Daphne.

Throughout my career at New York Life Investments, I have partnered with educated chief investment officers, research analysts, and financial advisors within the retail and institutional markets. I’m passionate about being a go-to resource for my clients, helping them make well-informed investment decisions and being a friend. It’s a joy to work with some of the best and brightest in the financial services industry, and I would love to connect with you next!

All investments are subject to market risk, including the potential loss of principal. Past performance is not indicative of future results. Investment returns and principal value will fluctuate, and investors may experience gains or losses upon redemption.

Fixed income securities are subject to interest rate risk; when interest rates rise, bond prices generally fall. They are also subject to credit risk, where the issuer may fail to make timely payments of interest or principal. High-yield (non-investment-grade) securities carry a greater risk of default and price volatility compared to higher-rated securities. Short-duration strategies may help mitigate interest rate risk but can still be affected by changes in interest rates and market conditions.

Growth stocks can face significant price declines if earnings fall short of investor expectations, even if they grow. Early-stage growth companies face higher risks. The main risk of value stock is that a security's price may not reach its expected value. Small and mid-cap securities carry higher risks, including sharp price fluctuations, limited liquidity, and unpredictable changes, especially over the short term. Investing in foreign securities carries risks, such as currency fluctuations, unstable markets, limited information, and political or economic challenges. Emerging markets often face higher risks than developed ones.
