Vice President, Portfolio Manager, Taxable Bond Strategist

Brian is a Portfolio Manager and Taxable Bond Strategist. He leads a team responsible for strategy design and implementation for taxable investment grade and high yield mandates. Brian is also a member of the Fixed Income Investment Committee which is charged with overseeing all municipal and taxable strategies. Prior to its acquisition by Fiera Capital, Brian was a Portfolio Manager and member of the Investment Committee at Samson Capital Advisors LLC. Samson was a privately-owned investment management firm that was founded in 2004 by senior investment professionals from OFFITBANK, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Samson managed over $7 billion in assets in customized fixed income for affluent families and their foundations, endowments and corporations. At Fiera Capital, Brian continues his role as a portfolio manager for both private clients and foundations, continues to oversee corporate trading. At Samson, he helped develop new product offerings such as the Corporate Index Replication and Foundation Short Term strategies. Brian began at Samson as a Portfolio Analyst assisting the Portfolio Managers with the management of the accounts, and market research.

Prior to joining Samson in 2004, he worked for the Knights of Columbus investment department in New Haven, CT and was responsible for cash management, performance analysis and structured product collateral surveillance for the company’s insurance portfolios.

Brian received a B.A. in Government and International Studies from the University of Notre Dame in 2001. He is also a CFA charterholder.
