Alec works as a Portfolio Manager and Trader within the investment team on the Tax Efficient Fixed Income strategies. He is a member of the Investment Committee. Previously, Alec was employed by Samson Capital Advisors LLC where he joined in 2006 and served as a Portfolio Analyst until Samson’s acquisition by Fiera Capital. Samson was a privately-owned investment management firm that was founded in 2004 by senior investment professionals from OFFITBANK, Goldman Sachs, and JPMorgan. Samson managed over $7 billion in assets in customized fixed income for affluent families and their foundations, endowments and corporations. In his prior role at Fiera Capital, Alec to worked closely with multiple portfolio managers on the day-to-day management and analysis of their clients’ portfolios. He was also responsible for compliance testing on all of the firm’s portfolios and supported the STRONG Fund management team.

Prior to joining Samson, Alec was a Mutual Fund Accountant at the Bank of New York.

Alec received a B.S. in Communications from Ithaca College, also studying Business and Music. Alec also holds an MBA from the University of Massachusetts.
