Mr. Giacco is a Senior Managing Director with New York Life Investments and serves as senior advisor to MacKay Shields’ CEO and is responsible for business development initiatives and assisting on business management activities.  Previously, he served as special advisor to the Ausbil CEO working on initiatives in Australia and the region.  He joined New York Life Investments as head of M&A and business development activities on behalf of the Investments Group, directing the multi-asset and multi-regional expansion with the addition of Index IQ, Candriam Investors, Ausbil Investment Management, and Private Advisors. 

Prior to joining New York Life, he was a Senior Vice President at ING Investment Management and its predecessor, Aeltus Investment Management, leading the business and product development functions.  Preceding ING, he handled investment management and financing activities for Investment Services Inc.

Mr. Giacco earned a BS from the University of Richmond and an MBA from the University of Connecticut.
